Police appeal for Leeds burglar on the run has everyone making 1990's jokes thanks to his haircut

A convicted burglar wanted by cops on prison recall has been mocked by trolls for his 90s-style haircut.

Social media users told West Yorkshire Police that Brendan Rodgers’s hairdresser needed to be arrested too after his mugshot was released.

The 24-year-old was being hunted down for breaching the conditions of his licence following his release from prison.

Rodgers was later found in Leeds but that didn't stop social media users from having a laugh.

When the force shared his mug shot, they were inundated with comments mocking his curtain-style hairdo.

Yvonne Ashley said: "He's somewhere back in the 90s best get a DeLorean to take you to him."

Matt Pickles joked: "He will be long gone. There is no way this photo was taken any later than 1999."

Brian Gallagher quipped: "Just seen him celebrating a Leicester goal" in reference to the thief's football manager namesake.

Officers caught him in Leeds and he has been recalled to prison, but the jokes continued.

Bradley Adams said: "Told ya he was behind a set of curtains!"

Mick Usher said: "Hairdressers need arresting also."

Sam Virr joked that he resembled famous curtain-wearer Peter Andre and said: "Hope he goes down singing Mysterious girl."

Rodgers was locked up for 30 months in 2020 as part of a professional gang that raided a luxury home in Leeds and was locked up for 30 months.

He was out of prison on licence at the time of the incident for an offence of possessing a blade in public.

Rodgers has previous convictions for burglary, theft, criminal damage and handling stolen goods.
