West Midlands Police are turning to film to warn school pupils about the consequences of petty theft and anti-social behaviour as officers try to convince young people that shoplifting is not a harmless or victimless crime.
A new short film produced by the force is due to be shown in schools across the region as part of a campaign aimed at preventing young people from becoming involved in shop theft.
