West Lothian woodlands spectacular light trail launches with 'powerful' laser show

The festive forest trail event at Beecraigs Country Park is back for another year, featuring magical lighting effects and one of the UK’s most powerful laser shows.

Running until December 23, the festive trail in the forest near Linlithgow includes a walk through the woodland, packed with exciting visuals and sound effects provided by industry experts 21CC Group.

Families can also enjoy the Santa's Grotto and Storytelling Experience, the longest light tunnel in Scotland, a Silent Disco, and a live music stage with DJ, musicians, choirs, carol singers and fire performers.

There are also market stalls, children's amusements and fair rides including a carousel, helter-skelter, Candy Cane bungee jumps, Crazy Elf cars and a new mini polar express.

Located in Beecraigs Country Park, the event runs from 4 pm to 10 pm (with the last entry at 8:30 pm) and, according to the team, is suitable for everyone and all age groups.

Those with Additional Support Needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder will also be catered for with all carers' tickets free at the event.

Tickets can be purchased from the Beecraigs website.

"We promised we’d be back bigger, brighter and bolder than ever,” said Roy Snedden, Director of Rowen Events, “and we believe we’ve pulled it off.

"We had such a fantastic reaction to the launch night and now we’re looking forward to welcoming all this year’s revellers for a truly amazing festive experience."
