Simpson Primary School Parent Council in Bathgate is celebrating after being awarded £3,500 in funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.
And the National funding has made it possible for the parent council to host a Spring Fayre for friends and families of the school and the wider Bathgate community on Saturday, May 13.
The event will run from noon until at Simpson Primary School in Wester Inch.
It promises a fun-filled day for the whole family with games and inflatables, car boot sale, delicious food and local retailers showing what Bathgate and the wider community has to offer.
Jen Allan, fundraising and events coordinator said: “Thanks to National Lottery players, this grant means that we can provide a fantastic day for our local community.
“Profits from the event will allow the Parent Council to continue providing experiences and enriching the education of all children of Simpson Primary School and Nursery.
“This will have a big impact on our community and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone coming together.”
The Parent Council is proud to be working with local businesses to make this a real community event and would like to thank the partners and sponsors for their support - JPs Inflatables, West Lothian Producers Market and John Allan Architectural Design.
National Lottery players raise over £30 million a week for good causes across the UK. The National Lottery Community Fund distributes a share of this to projects to support people and communities to prosper and thrive.
