A Bathgate playgroup has been awarded a five gold stars from education inspectors.
Community Playgroups Bathgate at Bathgate Partnership Centre received top marks in every category by the Care Inspectorate.
The organisation is a non-profit charity offering a playgroup service to children aged two to five years, guaranteeing children a warm and inviting environment where they can explore and spark their curiosity.
Key highlights from the report were that the children’s individual wellbeing benefitted from effective use of personal planning and they developed their curiosity, imagination and problem solving skills through high quality play experiences.
Children also benefitted from a nurturing, inspiring environment and we empowered to be fully involved in their play and learning through the skilled interactions and actions of staff.
Area manager Claire Lloyd said: “Covid and the current financial crisis has had an effect on our charity in many different ways, but by gaining these five stars over every aspect of our report it shows that the quality of service we offer to our children and families has remained at the highest of standards.
“We do have spaces available from January and would like to welcome new families to come and visit our playgroup and meet the team.
“We don’t just offer the traditional morning session of 9.15 to 11.30am we offer longer days which are 9.15 to 2pm we hope offering longer sessions allows families to use our service as a childcare option and our hours fit in with school/work life balance.”
