Facing a funding gap of £38 million and Holyrood’s freeze on funding, West Lothian Council has announced a public survey on spending priorities and future services.
The council faces significant budget challenges over the next five years. This is the first phase in a series of planned community engagement exercises that will provide insight into how the priorities of West Lothian’s residents are balanced with the council’s ability to provide services with less money.
The survey asks local people to judge what they think is important to protect and develop- from housing to education to social care.
