West Lothian Military museum appealing for donations to assist Ukrainian orphans

Ian Inglis of the Military Museum at Linburn is appealing for donations to help for Ukrainian orphans.

The museum is asking if anyone can help Sandy Paton, one of its veterans and volunteers.

Sandy was involved in the charity Friends of Chernobyl Children, that brought children from Belarus over to Scotland for much needed respite.

Unfortunately due to the current situation, no one is allowed to leave Belarus, so the charity is turning its focus on Ukrainian orphans.

Renamed to Helping Heart for Ukraine, Sandy has asked if people can help.

Fifty orphans are already in Scotland and more will be coming.

Please can you help with these much needed items.

These can be handed in to Military Museum Scotland and will be passed on to Sandy.

Ian said: “We require toothbrushes and toothpaste (adults and children), sanitary products, shower gel, soap, body lotion etc, fluffy blankets (new), mugs, sachets of hot drinks, notebooks and pens, lip balm, hand cream, razors, face cloths, socks (adult and child) and gloves. Thank you.”
