West Lothian M8 rush hour commuters face long queues after three-car crash

Traffic chaos came this morning, after a rush hour crash on the M8.

A three car collision happened just after 7am on Junction 3 of the Eastbound carriageway near Livingston, with Police Scotland and Trauma Injury Severity Score (TRISS) racing to the scene. The carriageway has now been cleared, though traffic remains heavy in the area and drivers are being asked to approach with caution.

Photos shared on social media show the gridlock after the accident. More recent images show congestion, though traffic has freed up substantially.
