A West Lothian dad was reported by police this week after he took his son for a ride on an electric scooter.
Spotted by police on Wednesday, the 43-year-old was caught out in Livingston after what was intended to be a fun trip actually saw him pulled over by officers.
In a warning on social media, Road Police in Livingston had said they had caught the 43-year-old as the pair were seen riding down Howden South Road.

With his 10-year-old son travelling on the back of the scooter, inspections from officers found that the driver had no insurance or a license for the scooter.

As a result, the man was reported for dangerous transportation of a child, as well as their lack of a license.
Speaking on social media on Wednesday (August 10), Road Police said:
"LivingstonRP have reported a 43 year old male for having no licence, no insurance and dangerous transportation of a child causing them to be exposed to unnecessary risk/harmfor riding an electric scooter on Howden South Road with his 10 year old son as a passenger."
