All West Lothian Council employees will get an extra day’s holiday to say thank you for going “beyond the call of duty” during the pandemic.
The council’s executive unanimously agreed to the extra day as recognition leave during its last meeting of this current administration.
In a report to the executive Lesley Henderson, the Interim Head of Corporate Services, said: “As the council begins to build back and we learn to live with Covid-19, it is considered an appropriate time to provide a tangible token of appreciation to recognise the outstanding contribution of all our employees.
