A beacon lighting ceremony was held for the Platinum Jubilee at Beecraigs Country Park on Thursday evening.
Over 100 locals attended the event in West Lothian, which saw beacons lit on the highest peaks of the UK and the Commonwealth to mark the anniversary of the Queen’s coronation.
Newly-elected Provost Cathy Muldoon led the Lighting of the Beacon as part of the ceremony with both music and speeches.
Provost Cathy Muldoon, who was appointed to the position at the end of last month, previously said: "I am delighted to be elected Provost of West Lothian. It is an honour and a privilege and I'm extremely proud to be elected as West Lothian's first ever female Provost.
"I cannot wait to get started in this role and I will carry out my duties as West Lothian's civic head with fairness and courtesy to all."
Piper, John Hughes, played ‘Diu Regnare’ - the Bugle Call was carried out by Hugh Foster, and guests from the Royal British Legion Scotland, Scouts, Boys Brigade and Girls Brigade were all in attendance.
Parks and Woodlands squad leader Brian Boyd took kept the beacon safely lit during the ceremony.
