A West Lothian author has shared his experiences around mental health, drug addiction, trauma and social deprivation at a special event aimed at helping tackle addiction.
The event at Armadale library saw local author Aidan Martin detail his compelling journey from addiction into recovery, activism and the creative industries, with his book ‘Euphoric Recall’ detailing his lived experience.
The speaker and activist was also joined by local musician Martin Livingstone, who performed some of his original songs. Martin also shared how his past experience of how engaging with West Lothian Youth Action Project encouraged his passion for music, which ultimately helped him to pursue his musical career.
