Working as a security officer at the shop, Iain had gone to the aid of the man's wife after she ran into the building to get urgent help.
After following the woman outside, Iain knew he needed to act quickly, and had given first aid while the man's wife called for an ambulance.
With paramedics arriving at the scene within minutes, the team told Iain that without his quick thinking and diligence, they would not have been able to save the gentleman's life.
The customer was then taken to St John's Hospital, where it was discovered he had suffered a bleed on the brain.
Thanks to Iain’s actions, he recovered well in hospital and was able to leave a few days later.
