West Ham booked their place in the Europa Conference League with a routine win away at Viborg on Thursday night.
Gianluca Scamacca, Said Benrahma and Tomas Soucek all scored as David Moyes’ side romped to 6-1 aggregate win in Denmark.
Here’s how David Moyes’ side rated in Denmark...
Made a magnificent double save just before half-time and had little else to do.
Thilo Kehrer 6
Too keen to dive in on occasion. Has had a shaky start to West Ham career but was not helped by lack of shield in midfield. Header forced Soucek goal.
Angelo Ogbonna 6
Another positive step on his road to full fitness.
Aaron Cresswell 6
Lack of height in a back-three almost exposed by back-post crosses.
Ben Johnson 7
Out at wing-back but best work came covering towards his own goal in first half. Superb cross deserved better finish from Cornet after break.
Tomas Soucek 7
Fine cross set up opener for Scamacca, then bundled in from close range to open account for season.
Manuel Lanzini 6
Can hardly be blamed for not bringing same security as Declan Rice in midfield but did not do enough to keep place in XI for Aston Villa trip.
Pablo Fornals 7
Perhaps West Ham’s best player so far this season, tidy enough out at wing-back.
Said Benrahma 8
Handed more of a central role and thrived with runs from deep. Brilliance in first leg earned cushion and goal here ended tie as contest.
Maxwel Cornet 8
Superb in the second half, setting up Benrahma goal. Somehow plonked over with goal gaping when Algerian tried to repay the favour.
Gianluca Scamacca 7
Took goal brilliantly and worked hard out of possession with closing down, too. Encouraging link play with Cornet and Benrahma.
Substitutes
Michail Antonio (Scamacca 68’) 6
Must fear for his place at Villa after Scamacca made it two goals in two starts.
Flynn Downes (Soucek 68’) 6
Will have been relieved to get a more substantial run out.
Conor Coventry (Benrahma 68’) 6
Like Downes, will hope progress in this competition means more opportunities as season goes on.
Kurt Zouma (Cresswell 82’)
Armstrong Okoflex (Lanzini 82’)
Youngster finally given a debut after racking up the games as an unused substitute.
