Allan Saint-Maximin was missing for Newcastle United's clash at the London Stadium today.
The French winger has picked up an injury in the build-up to the game with Eddie Howe expected to address the story ahead of the important encounter with West Ham.
Saint-Maximin has been a key man for Newcastle this season with five goals to his name after 25 appearances for the Magpies this term.
The Toon ace is believed to have been rested as a precautionary measure.
Eddie Howe commented before the game: "He was kicked at various times during the game (vs Villa)."

And there was no sign of the former Nice star as the players filed off the boss with footage of their arrival beamed around screens in the London Stadium.
However, there was one surprise as Fede Fernandez stepped off the team after missing 11 games with a thigh injury.
But Fernandez was only named as substitute and took a place on the bench alongside skipper Jamaal Lascelles.
Eddie Howe named Fabian Schar and Dan Burn in the heart of defence while Emil Krafth replaced the injured Kieran Trippier.
Matt Targett returned to the line-up while there was also a place for Jacob Murphy who came in for Saint-Maximin.
