West Ham star Andriy Yarmolenko to travel and collect family after fleeing Ukraine war

Andriy Yarmolenko will collect his family from Poland after they fled their native Ukraine, his compatriot Andriy Shevchenko has claimed.

The winger, 32, has not played for West Ham since Russian president Vladimir Putin invaded his homeland last Thursday.

The club have handed him a period of compassionate leave, so he missed Sunday's Premier League victory over Wolves and Wednesday's FA Cup defeat by Southampton.
