West Ham star accused of spitting during heated Millwall derby clash

  • Millwall goalkeeper Filip Marschall has accused West Ham forward Taty Castellanos of spitting at him during their 2-2 derby match at The Den.
  • The altercation occurred in the second half while Millwall were leading 2-0 and Marschall delayed releasing the ball.
  • Marschall gestured towards his jersey to indicate he had been spat at during a confrontation in the penalty area. Sky Sports reported that the fourth official confirmed Millwall staff lodged an official allegation of spitting.
  • Goals from subs Mohamadou Kante and Konstantinos Mavropanos had the Hammers level with 10 minutes to play, but Kante was sent off for pulling back Kyrell Lisbie as he burst in on goal
  • The fixture was the first meeting between the London rivals in 14 years, taking place amidst a large Metropolitan Police operation.
