Declan Rice had some classy words for Kidderminster players after their FA Cup heartbreak against West Ham.
National League North side Kidderminster were seconds away from a famous win before Rice rescued West Ham with a brilliant 91st-minute equaliser to force extra-time.
Jarrod Bowen won it for West Ham in the final seconds of extra-time to leave Kidderminster players crestfallen.
“Massive, massive respect to Kidderminster,” Rice told BBC Sport after West Ham won 2-1 after extra-time.
“We watched a few videos of them this week, we’ve seen their results and they’ve been flying.
“Speaking to a couple of their players afterwards you can see they’re top guys, and you could see it on the bench with their manager. We weren’t at our best today and scraped it with two late goals.
“Kidderminster fought for every ball. We weren’t at the races in the first half. Luckily enough, we got one back late in the second and then we nicked at the end.
Delighted to get a goal and get the win! @khfcofficial were incredible from start to finish, Good luck for the rest of the season🤝
