West Ham United winger Maxwel Cornet has posted that he will be back soon after being pictured in training earlier this week.
The Ivory Coast international has not played for the Hammers since suffering a calf injury against Wolverhampton Wanderers on October 1, his full Premier League debut after his £17.5million move from Burnley in August.
Despite the injury initially being short-term, Cornet has suffered a number of setbacks along the way, but is now nearing a return, after being pictured back in first-team training on Instagram earlier this week.

On the same social media platform, Cornet himself has posted a video of his recovery, having spent much of his rehabilitation work with specialists in the French capital city, Paris, having spent his entire footballing career there until 2021, emigrating to the country from Ivory Coast at the age of three.
Alongside the video, Cornet sent a message about his injury absence, adding that he is close to a return to action.
“An injury is not always easy,” Cornet posted on his Instagram account.
“After several months of absence and work, I am finally back in the field to go to the war.
“I have to thank all the staff who took care of me. See you soon,” followed by a raising hands emoji.
Despite missing all of West Ham’s last 22 matches in all competitions this season, Cornet remains joint-top for assists in the squad this season with three. All of those came in the Europa Conference League, a competition where he also won two penalties in the group stage against FCSB and Silkeborg.
