West Ham’s move for Emerson Palmieri is back on after talks resumed over a deal for the Chelsea left-back.
The Hammers were close to agreeing a fee for the Italy international after submitting a £13million bid earlier this week, only for discussions to break down over personal terms.
At that point, a deal looked dead in the water, but Standard Sport understands that talks have now been revived, though no agreement on either a transfer fee or wages has yet been reached.
Emerson, who was part of the Italy squad that won Euro 2020, is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the final weeks of the window after the arrival of Marc Cucurella from Brighton nudged him further down the left-back pecking order.
The 28-year-old favours a move to the London Stadium over interest from Atalanta and Nottingham Forest, but is thought to have been asking for a salary of £95,000-per-week, up from the £70,000 he currently earns at Chelsea.
