West Ham United have re-entered talks with Chelsea defender Emerson over a potential move worth up to £15 million, including add-ons.
Earlier this week, the Italian EURO 2020 winner had looked set to move to the London Stadium in a deal worth £13m, potentially rising up to £15m. However, the Hammers walked away from the deal after discussing personal terms with the 28-year-old Brazil-born defender.
Football.London understands that a deal is now back on the table and being discussed, meaning that David Moyes’ side and the player are getting closer to agreeing personal terms, with his wages originally being the issue in the deal.

Emerson spent last season out on loan in Ligue 1 with Lyon having fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge. Following Marc Cucurella’s £55m move from Brighton and Hove Albion, both him and Ben Chilwell are currently above Emerson in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
Should a deal be agreed, Emerson would become the Hammers’ seventh signing of the summer, with their latest acquisition being defender Thilo Kehrer from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth £10.1m.
Kehrer came off the bench to make his Hammers debut on Thursday night during a 3-1 win over Viborg in the first leg of their Europa Conference League play-off qualifying round tie against Danish side Viborg.
