West Ham: Nuno Espirito Santo reveals Pablo Felipe injury latest ahead of Liverpool trip

Nuno Espirito Santo has delivered an update on Pablo Felipe ahead of West Ham’s Premier League clash against Liverpool.

Pablo, a January signing from Gil Vicente, has not featured for West Ham since the 2-0 win against Burnley at the beginning of the month when he came on in the closing stages.

The Brazilian has subsequently missed draws with Manchester United and Bournemouth, as well as the FA Cup fourth round win over Burton.

Nuno will be keen to have the 22-year-old available for selection very soon as the Hammers have 11 matches to preserve their Premier League status for another season.

West Ham are next in action on Saturday when they travel to Merseyside to face Liverpool and Nuno has given an update on his injured striker.

Speaking on Thursday, the West Ham boss said: “He didn't join us yet. He's starting his individual programme, so he's improving day by day.

“Like I said, we keep assessing him to see when he can return.

“It all depends on him, it depends on how he adapts to the loads again, so hopefully soon because we miss him.”

Nuno has also revealed there aren’t any fresh injury concerns across the squad ahead of the Liverpool game as the Hammers aim to make it five games unbeaten in all competitions.

“You know what it is, always knocks and things to assess, but we have a training session tomorrow and then we travel,” Nuno added.

West Ham have not won at Anfield since 2015 and have lost nine of the last ten meetings between the two sides.

The incentive for the visitors this weekend though is victory will move them out of the relegation zone before Nottingham Forest face Brighton away from home.
