Kolkata: The West Bengal government will distribute 70 lakh national flags ahead of Independence Day, with the state joining the Centre's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign for the first time this year, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference after a meeting of the state cabinet, Adhikari said the Tricolours would be distributed in all districts, subdivisions, municipalities and blocks as part of a statewide campaign to encourage citizens to hoist the national flag.
