KOLKATA: Bengal's Covid test positivity rate touched the lowest mark in two weeks on Tuesday when it plunged to 19.4%. On Monday, it was 26.4%. The state also clocked positivity below 20% after a gap of two weeks. Health experts see a ray of hope of the third wave surge having peaked in Bengal and declining trend already on its way.
The number of fresh cases on Tuesday at 10,430 was also less than half of this wave's highest single day count of 24,287 cases.
