State Bank of India (SBI) chairman Challa Sreenivasulu Setty has warned that the ongoing conflict in West Asia could drag on global growth and push inflationary pressures higher, even as India continues to remain relatively resilient amid global uncertainty.
In his message to shareholders in the bank’s annual report, Setty said the last financial year unfolded against a backdrop of “heightened geopolitical tensions, evolving trade dynamics, and persistent global economic uncertainty.”
