Wesley Fofana pokes fun at Leicester City as Chelsea star hilariously responds to explicit chant

Wesley Fofana has hilariously responded to an explicit video which captured a brutal chant sang by Leicester City fans. The 22-year-old swapped the midlands for west London in the summer for around £70million — and the home support at the King Power Stadium doesn't appear to have taken his exit very well.

In the video, Leicester fans were heard singing a new song about the Chelsea defender to the tune of 'Hey Baby' by DJ Ötzi. The song in question which has gone viral on Twitter goes: "Wesleyyyy, Wesley Fofanaaaa, ooh aah, I wanna' knooooooow why you're such a ****!"

Fofana saw the funny side of the song by quote retweeting post with two love-heart-eyed emojis. His tweet, which is essentially mocking the Leicester fan on social media has, as it stands, managed to garner nearly ten times as many likes.

Lots of Blues fans have flooded the Frenchman's tweet with messages of support. Ahead of Chelsea's trip to Leicester, Brendan Rodgers welcomed a hostile atmosphere, with Ben Chilwell also returning to his former club.

"A really positive atmosphere for us is really good," the Foxes boss said, as quoted by LeicestershireLIVE. "The players really respond to that. What the reaction [Fofana[ gets, or what Ben [Chilwell] will get, the supporters are entitled to look at that whichever which way.

"Any atmosphere that creates an ambience and a togetherness and a camaraderie and a solidarity, that’s what you want."

Rodgers claimed that, regardless of Fofana's reputation with the fans, he was looking forward to seeing the defender. The Leicester boss added: "I’ll be really pleased to see him.

"He was brilliant for me. He was a young player and I understand the game, what happened for him to get out, and the words that were mentioned, I know for a fact were not from him.

"Our relationship was strong, we took a young guy who hadn’t played many games and he helped us achieve some great things here. He’s a hugely talented player and he’s a really good young guy. I look forward to seeing him.

"He was fantastic in his time here for us. Now he’s playing in a Champions League quarter-final, the club got a fantastic return on him, and we move on."
