Chelsea defender set for Premier League switch
Emerson Palmieri is subject to growing interest from Nottingham Forest and looks set to leave Stamford Bridge. That's according to the Evening Standard, who claim that Marc Cucurella's move to Chelsea has edged the Italian closer to an exit.
It's said that the newly-promoted side have made initial contact with both the defender and the Blues over a permanent switch to Steve Cooper's side. Forest have already made 12 signings this summer, and Emerson could become the thirteenth.
The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at Lyon but, despite an impressive period in France, seems to have no future in west London. Emerson's contract at Chelsea expires in 2024, with Todd Boehly still able to recuperate a somewhat healthy windfall.

Fofana drops transfer hint
Wesley Fofana has dropped a huge hint on his future following Leicester City's 4-2 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer, and as talks intensify, he looks to have waved farewell to the travelling Foxes fans.
After the final whistle in north London, a video from the stands saw Fofana applaud as we walked over to the Leicester fans. While unclear and unconfirmed, the video looks to have caught the defender putting his head into his elbow as if he were wiping his face - or tears - before wiping his face with his shirt.
Fofana proceeded to soak up the applause from the travelling support. The youngster's moment follows an admission from Rodgers, who confirmed Chelsea's initial two bids.
Tuchel forced to consider De Jong alternative
Chelsea and new owner Todd Boehly may have to consider Frenkie de Jong transfer alternatives as Man United are 'confident' and 'convinced' that they will get Erik ten Hag's man signed next week.
Ferran Martinez via Managing Barca has confirmed this news with his latest update alongside Diario Sport. His update read: 'CONFIRMED: Total offensive by Manchester United for Frenkie De Jong. They are confident of completing his signing next week by making the best financial offer to both the player & FC Barcelona.'
