So far this summer, Chelsea have signed just two new players, with Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly arriving at Stamford Bridge. With just over a week until the new Premier League season kicks off, Thomas Tuchel will be hoping he has at least one more new signing through the door before the Blues travel to Everton.
Chelsea were comprehensively beaten 4-0 by Arsenal at the weekend and after the match, Tuchel could not guarantee his team would be ready to face Everton on August 6. It was a very downbeat Tuchel, who did not speak glowingly regarding his current crop of players.
Many face an uncertain future in west London for a variety of reasons. Outgoings at Stamford Bridge could mean plenty on the incoming front, with the two more than coinciding.

So, with this being said, football.london takes a look at the 10 deals Chelsea still need to complete before the summer transfer window closes at the start of September. Let us know if you agree with these in the comments section below the article.
Wesley Fofana
Chelsea are set to enter talks with Wesley Fofana and his representatives over a possible move to Stamford Bridge in the coming days. football.london has been told the Blues have switched their attention to other centre-back targets with Jules Kounde poised to join Barcelona.
Fofana is under contract at Leicester until the summer of 2027 after extending his stay in March. This means the Foxes are in a strong bargaining position, but Chelsea have not been put off by this and are looking to sign the 21-year-old French defender this summer.
Josko Gvardiol
Tuchel wants to bring in another two centre-backs following the double departure of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen. Josko Gvardiol of RB Leipzig is someone Chelsea really like and could intensify their interest should the opportunity present itself.
Presnel Kimpembe looks set to stay at Paris Saint-Germain, despite interest from Chelsea. Milan Skriniar remains an option for the Blues, but 20-year-old Gvardiol is also very highly-rated by Stamford Bridge officials.
Borna Sosa
Chelsea have been interested in Borna Sosa of VfB Stuttgart for a while now as a back-up option at left wing-back to Ben Chilwell. There was also an interest in Brighton's Marc Cucurella, but Manchester City are the front-runners to sign the Spanish full-back.
The future of Emerson Palmieri remains uncertain, but it doesn't look like the Italian has a future at Chelsea. Tuchel could look in the market for a support left wing-back before the window closes in just over a month.
Denzel Dumfries
Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries is now being looked at by Chelsea. The Netherlands international is being pursued as a back-up option to the outstanding Reece James.
The 26-year-old was part of negotiations when Chelsea loaned Romelu Lukaku back to Inter Milan earlier in the summer. The Blues could now look to make a move to bolster their defensive options.
Marcos Alonso
Any move for Sosa could very much rely on the future of Marcos Alonso. football.london understands Alonso wants to depart Chelsea this summer and the club are more than open to selling the Spaniard.
The 31-year-old is wanted by Barcelona and with less than 12 months remaining on his contract, Chelsea could sell him in a cut-price deal. Alonso is currently training with his Chelsea team-mates as normal, though, and as it stands, looks set for a place in the squad against Everton next month.
Cesar Azpilicueta
Like Alonso, Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta is wanted by Barcelona. However, Tuchel recently admitted his frustration with Barca's pursuit of the Spanish defender.
"It's a tough question because I am not sure if I want to give Azpi what he wants," Tuchel said. "At some point, it is about what we want."
Timo Werner
Timo Werner could leave Chelsea this summer, either on loan or on a permanent basis. Ever since making the move from RB Leipzig to the Blues in the summer of 2020, things at Stamford Bridge have been far from ideal for Werner.
football.london understands the Germany international is open to leaving Chelsea during this window and the club will not stand in his way. There is a problem, though. Werner's performances for Chelsea have not been too impressive and his high wage demands could put any potential suitors off making a serious move for his services.
Michy Batshuayi
Despite featuring prominently in pre-season, the future of Michy Batshuayi looks to be away from Stamford Bridge. Since moving to Chelsea in 2016 from Marseille, the Belgian has been on loan five times.
The 28-year-old striker could be set for another temporary move, but Chelsea would rather sell him because of there being less than a year remaining on his contract.
Billy Gilmour
Billy Gilmour could be sent out on loan once again. The Scotland international initially joined up with the senior squad in the United States on the pre-season tour but was rather swiftly sent to the development squad.
There's plenty of competition for Chelsea in the middle of midfield, particularly with the return of Conor Gallagher. The Blues would look to loan Gilmour to a Premier League club once again to gain some more experience.
Ross Barkley
Ross Barkley has less than 12 months remaining on his contract at Chelsea. The Blues want to sell Barkley, but his lack of football in recent seasons mean there aren't too many interested parties at the moment.
