A Welsh pitch invader was tackled into the advertising boards at a Wales Sevens game and handed a three-year ban from Twickenham Stadium.
Taylor Griffiths, a 16-year-old from Porth, ran onto the pitch during Wales' 42-17 loss to Spain at the HSBC Sevens last weekend before being overwhelmed by stadium security.
Taylor explained he was actually coaxed into storming the field by his dad, Leigh, saying: "It was a bet with my old man, he and some girls behind me didn't think I'd do it, so I just ran on there, and then I got smoked."
It has been revealed the man who actually took down Taylor with a textbook rugby tackle was a referee liaison officer for the game, who was eventually helped by stewards.
"The stewards dived straight on top of me, they were calling me stupid, saying they were going to give me a lifetime ban from all stadiums in the UK. I got to the marshal who gives the bands out, and they gave me a three-year ban from Twickenham," explained Taylor.
Taylor was brought to a booth where he had to give his personal details, and was then told he was banned for three years and he "could have been arrested" for his efforts.
After getting separated from his Dad, Taylor realised his phone was out of battery, and he had no way of getting in contact with his father. He ejected the other side of the stadium, and didn't know where he was, or where to start looking for his dad. He walked for three miles, ending up at the Shed pub near Twickenham train station.
Eventually, he borrowed a good samaritan's phone and was reunited with dad, Leigh.
As for the hefty ban given to the teenager, who was told to give his details to stadium staff, he said: "I gave them the wrong phone number. I wasn't falling for that trick."
