Welsh rugby team's wonder try sees proud mothers go 'bonkers' in the stands

A young Welsh rugby team scored a try from the Gods that had their watching mothers going "bonkers" in the stands.

Cwmbran under 16s scored the wonder try in a Dragons Cup final match against Penallta RFC at Rodney Parade.

The game ended 41-6 to Cwmbran and this was fittingly the final try of the match, epitomising a comprehensive victory for the team. It was also the boys' last match in junior rugby, so it was a lovely way to end their age grade journey.

The stunning move was finished off by young Harry Dawes but started deep in Cwmbran's own half. From there, a mixture of power, speed, skillful handling and a deft kick to finish create the magical moment. One of the players even appears to offload the ball whilst literally rolling on his own head. It is Welsh rugby at its finest.

What makes the video is the sound of the players' mums in the crowd going absolutely mad for their talented sons, and rightly so.

Speaking on the support from the mums, Dad and fixture secretary Jamie Evans said: "Yep, they're bonkers!"

"All the mums at the club are very proud of all the boys and are always 110% behind them and to finally to see them get to win the cup sent them into overdrive. It means that much to them. The support they give is second to none."

Alex Dawes, father of the try-scorer, is responsible for the footage and films every game.
