The partner of Welsh athlete Ben Gregory says he is due to be taken off sedation today following his bike crash at the weekend.
Thirty-one-year-old Gregory is in a coma and suffered a fractured skull and neck in the incident. Partner Naomi Heffernan revealed the news on Instagram and asked for "thoughts and prayers" for the decathlete, who has represented Great Britain and competed in three Commonwealth Games.
She said in a further update on social media: "Thank you all so much for your lovely messages and kind words, I'll spend time over the next few days to read them all and I'll read some of them out loud to Ben when I see him.
