Ambulance staff will no longer strike on Monday, two unions have confirmed. GMB and Unite Cymru said they have "paused" planned action on Monday, March 6 by Welsh Ambulance Service staff.
A spokesman for Unite said: "Unite has suspended its strike action in Welsh Ambulance due to take place on Monday, March 6 2023. This follows significant progress in talks with the Welsh Government. The pause in strike action will facilitate the continuation of these discussions."

Thousands of Welsh ambulance workers joined the picket line in February in a dispute over pay and working conditions, with Unite and GMB members both walking out. It came after ambulance staff rejected a Welsh Government pay offer of 3% for 2022-23.
The offer was on top of the average 4.5% paid to health workers last autumn. At the time Unite's Richard Munn said the offer was "not good enough" for workers who were at "breaking point".
It comes days after midwives in Wales rejected a Welsh Government pay offer following a pause in planned strike action. The result followed a Royal College of Midwives (RCM) consultation on the offer.
