Ahmed Khan's latest comedy 'Welcome to the Jungle', starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal, has collected Rs 39 crore net at the Indian box office within two days of its release. The third installment in the popular 'Welcome' franchise has witnessed strong audience turnout, driven by nostalgia and its star-studded ensemble cast.
The film got off to a promising start with paid preview shows earning an estimated Rs 3.75 crore. On its official opening day, Friday, 'Welcome to the Jungle' collected Rs 15.25 crore across India.
The momentum continued on Saturday, with the comedy entertainer earning Rs 20 crore, registering a 31.1% jump over its Friday collections. The strong growth has helped the film establish a solid footing at the box office ahead of its first Sunday.
Globally, 'Welcome to the Jungle' has grossed Rs 57.50 crore so far. The film earned Rs 6 crore in overseas markets on its second day, taking its total overseas gross collection to Rs 10.70 crore.
Commenting on the film's box office performance, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on X, "And the word of mouth has come into play... #WelcomeToTheJungle registers substantial growth [37.12%] on Saturday, coming immediately after the holiday on Friday – a rarity, considering most films witness a decline after a holiday.
That clearly indicates the entertainer has found strong appreciation among the janta janardhan.
#WTTJ opened better on Saturday than it did on Friday, with collections gathering momentum as the day progressed... In fact, not just the mass circuits/heartland, even urban centres recorded much better occupancy than Friday.
All eyes are on Sunday now... One thing is certain: #WTTJ is set to record one of the best opening weekends of 2026 – without any ticket offers or discounts."
