Families can enjoy a summer of outdoor theatre at Southport's Botanic Gardens.
Starting on July 21, Pendle Productions' The Storytellers Theatre Company will be putting on family-friendly performances every Thursday at 12pm and 2.30pm, starting with The Wizard of Oz. Join Dorothy on her magical journey to the Land of Oz in a musical adventure that is sure to fascinate and entertain.

With energetic songs, colourful costumes and action-packed performances, the show is ideal for adults and children alike. The Wizard of Oz is the first in a series of six shows that will see Southport Botanic Gardens play host to dragons, a lovable cat, Pinocchio, the Secret Garden and much more during a sequence of summer events.
The performances will all take place opposite the children's playground in the Botanic Gardens. A full list of the performances taking place can be found below:
- The Wizard of Oz - Thursday, July 21 at 12pm and 2.30pm.
- The Secret Garden - Thursday, July 28 at 12pm and 2.30pm.
- Pinocchio - Thursday, August 4 at 12pm and 2.30pm.
- Three Little Pigs - Thursday, August 11 at 12pm and 2.30pm.
- Martha The Cat's Great Big Adventure - Thursday, August 18 at 12pm and 2.30pm.
- The Dragon Who Lost His Home - Thursday, August 25 at 12pm and 2.30pm.
