The Washington Commanders were back on the practice field Thursday in preparation for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots. While four players missed Wednesday’s practice, team captains Jonathan Allen and Kendall Fuller returned Thursday after a veteran’s day off.
However, two Commanders still missed practice, one of which was starting wide receiver Curtis Samuel. If Samuel can’t go, Jahan Dotson could see some snaps in the slot, allowing Dyami Brown time on the outside. Or Washington could play Jamison Crowder in the slot. Crowder was outstanding last week against the Eagles.
Here is Washington’s Thursday injury report:
- WR Curtis Samuel: DNP (toe)
- C/G Ricky Stromberg: DNP (knee)
- S Percy Butler: Limited (calf)
- TE Logan Thomas: Full (heel)
Meanwhile, the Patriots had four players miss practice, including a pair of key offensive players:
- OL Calvin Anderson: DNP (illness)
- TE Pharaoh Brown: Limited (back)
- T Trent Brown: DNP (ankle/knee)
- DL Davin Godchaux: DNP (illness)
- WE DeVante Parker: DNP (concussion)
