This is in keeping with the last few days which have seen above average temperatures in Yorkshire. It will however get much much colder as nightfalls, with temperatures feeling like after 9pm.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Cloudy Wednesday as a band of rain sinks southward, bringing rain from late morning. Becoming drier and clearer by the evening with a brisk north-westerly wind. Feeling cold later Maximum temperature 10 °C."
The weather may get colder and colder, as the week goes on. Weather maps also show a polar vortex looms over the UK, and this may see up to seven inches of snow, including in Leeds.
