Scots mum left terrified young son could fall 20ft out flat window in fears over missing safety railing
A frustrated Scots mum has been left fearing her four-year-old son could fall 20ft out their flat window after a safety railing was not installed.
Kim Duncan claims she has been battling with Wellhouse Housing Association to have the broken window repaired at her Glasgow home since November last year.
The 40-year-old initially breathed a sigh of relief when she was told a replacement would be installed at their top floor flat on March 29.
Hepatitis outbreak found in young children across Scotland central belt
A small number of hepatitis cases have been detected in young children across Scotland's central belt, Public Health Scotland (PHS) has said.
Health chiefs are aware of 11 cases of hepatitis - inflammation of the liver - identified in children aged between one and five years old who have been admitted to hospital across the central belt.
Four NHS Health Board areas in Scotland have reported the cases mostly in March, including; Lanarkshire, Tayside, GGC, and Fife.

Glasgow nursery served 'raw meat' to kids and forced to close
A Glasgow nursery that received a damning care inspectorate report after they were found to have served 'raw meat' to kids has been forced to close.
Little Einsteins Nursery in Pollokshields failed to secure relevant insurance needed to continue to operate after an inspection in August 2021 raised serious concerns about food safety.
Glasgow City Council has now said funding for places at the south side nursery had been withdrawn after the owners breached their contact.

A young Scots woman left scarred for life by her 'manipulative' ex-boyfriend has hit out after her abuser escaped jail.
Victim Jordana Rutherford said she was in floods of tears when she found out brute William Weir dodged prison on Monday, but had been ordered to pay her £1,000 compensation instead.
Jordana, 20, who had not been made aware of William's sentencing before being contacted by the Record, said: "I’m in tears.”
Scots bride has first dance at dream wedding after miracle cystic fibrosis drug
A bride's dream of being able to have the first dance at her own wedding became a reality after she was prescribed a miracle drug.
Kirsty Young, 32, was so poorly with cystic fibrosis that her consultant was preparing to put her on the lung transplant list.
But she was fortunate to get on the trial for Kaftrio at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital three years ago and it had turned her life around.
