Websites have gone down and hackers have launched millions of cyber attacks after a huge vulnerability was found in a technology that runs much of the internet.
Governments, banks and others took their websites offline in an attempt to stop any attempts to use the vulnerability for hacks. But it did not stop people trying, with a cyber security company reporting millions of attempted cyber attacks after it became public.
