Irish holidaymakers travelling to Spain over the coming days are being warned about turbulent weather in some parts.
Several weather warnings have been issued by the Spanish national forecaster, AEMET , for heavy rain, storm-force winds and high waves.
Some of the areas included in the alerts include holiday hotspots popular with Irish tourists like Alicante, Mallorca, Benidorm and Ibiza.

Irish tourists holidaying in the affected regions are advised to take extra care and follow the advice of local authorities.
Status Yellow Rain warnings are in place for Alicante and Valencia until Thursday. AEMET says up to 60mm of rain could fall within 12 hours in these areas.
A separate Status Yellow Wind warning is in place for Alicante until Thursday, with the national forecaster warning of gusts of up to 70km/h.
Status Yellow Coastal warnings are also in place for Alicante (including Benidorm), Castellon, Valencia, Mallorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Murcia until Thursday. These areas can expect storm-force 7 winds and waves of up to 3 metres.
Meanwhile, Ireland can expect a mild easter with a mix of sunshine and showers.
Met Eireann says temperatures could reach up to 17C on Holy Thursday.
Its latest forecast reads: “On Thursday scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will mainly affect the western half the country. Staying mostly dry elsewhere for daylight hours with a mix of cloud and hazy sunshine. Highest temperatures of 11 to 16 or 17 degrees, best values in sunny spells. South to southeast winds will be mostly moderate in strength.
“Thursday night will be mostly cloudy and misty with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, persistent for a time in the west, southwest and north, but more patchy elsewhere. Mild with lowest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees.”
Looking ahead to Good Friday, it continued: “Good Friday will bring a good deal of cloud with some scattered outbreaks of mostly light rain but a lot of dry weather overall. Some bright or sunny intervals will develop in parts too after a dull start. Mild with highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, coolest on exposed coasts, with light or moderate south to southeasterly breezes.”
It will be more of the same over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
A forecaster said: “Saturday will bring a lot of cloud with some outbreaks of rain which could be persistent near the west coast. Some parts of the east and southeast may stay drier. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees with moderate or fresh southerly breezes, easing later.
“Easter Sunday will bring some rain in from the west, becoming widespread and heavy at times in the afternoon. Turning breezy too. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees with moderate south to southeasterly breezes, increasing fresh and blustery near coasts.”
