The monsoon remains active across several parts of India on Saturday, September 12, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting rain in parts of north, central, west and southern India. A low-pressure area over the northwest and west-central Bay of Bengal, close to the south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh coast, is influencing the weather pattern. IMD said the system was likely to become more marked and move west-northwestwards across north coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha.
For people in Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, the forecast is not uniform. Some areas can expect another spell of rain today, while a few regions are more likely to see heavier showers over the next two to three days.
