Weather Today and Tomorrow: India's southwest monsoon is highly active now, and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued multiple rainfall alerts for July 6 and July 7 (Monday and Tuesday). Several states, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Haryana and Punjab, are expected to witness heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over the next two days, according to the IMD forecast.
The weather agency has also warned of thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds in many parts of the country as monsoon activity intensifies.
