Edinburgh will swap its recent mild weather for subzero conditions within days, according to the latest weather forecast.
New maps from meteorologists WxCharts show temperatures dropping to -11C in some parts of Scotland by next Thursday. BBC Weather also reports a -4C ice blast in Edinburgh, with an ice warning remaining in place on Sunday.
Forecasters also warn the drop in temperatures. will also bring significant snowfall across the country with up to 21cm in the worst-hit areas.
