Weak Chocolate Demand Weighs on Cocoa Prices

September ICE NY cocoa (CCU24) on Friday closed down -42 (-0.56%), and September ICE London cocoa #7 (CAU24) closed up +20 (+0.33%).

Cocoa prices Friday settled mixed.  Cocoa prices Friday extended this week's slide to 1-month lows on global cocoa demand concerns after Hershey, the world's fourth-largest chocolate producer, reported a quarterly sales drop and cut its full-year outlook Thursday due to weakening consumer demand for chocolate.
