Pep Guardiola admitted he would have one eye on Arsenal’s game with Liverpool after watching his Manchester City side go top of the Premier League.
City moved to the top of the Premier League table after a 4-0 win over struggling Southampton as Erling Haaland scored again at the Etihad. The goal was his 15th league goal in just nine games for the club - 10 of which have come at home.
Arsenal now trail City by two points having played a match less and could overtake the defending champions with a win over Jurgen Klopp’s side this afternoon. Meanwhile, Liverpool sit 13 points behind Guardiola’s side.
