'We were sloppy' - Jonas Eidevall gives honest Arsenal verdict after West Ham victory

Arsenal Women boss Jonas Eidevall has criticised the errors that cost his team their run of clean sheets, despite victory against West Ham in the Women's Super League on Sunday night.

The Gunners remain just one of two teams yet to drop any points as they battle it out at the top of the table with Manchester United. They came from behind to beat the Hammers 3-1 at home over the weekend after Dagny Brynjarsdottir gave the visitors the lead.

Jordan Nobbs was quick to respond with an equaliser before Stina Blackstenius, and Frida Maanum stepped up second-half to secure the victory. Eidevall's side conceded their first goal in the WSL this term, leaving United as the only team to keep a clean sheet in all their matches so far.

"It means more that we won," he told Sky Sports post-match. "I am happy with the three points and our performance, but I think we were sloppy and making mistakes.

"I think there are lessons all the time, but for us, it is about being comfortable with the way we are playing, and time is a good factor to have on your side when you want to develop things."

Arsenal's win over West Ham follows impressive displays in the UEFA Women's Champions League, beating FC Zurich 3-1 earlier in the week and current holders Lyon 5-1 the week before. When asked if his team can go all the way in every competition, Eidevall said the belief is there, but they can't think too far ahead.

"Let's take it one game at a time," he continued. "I believe we can win every game we go into.

"It has to start with that belief. We did that when we played Lyon away, so if we believe in that game, we can believe in any game. Let's play one game at a time. Every game is tough."

The Gunners return to action next Sunday with a visit to the King Power Stadium to face bottom-of-the-table Leicester City. They'll then return after the international break on November 19 with a huge clash against title rivals United at the Emirates.
