Black Sabbath released two classic albums within the space of eight months in 1970. Where their self-titled debut laid down the blueprint for heavy metal as we know it, follow-up Paranoid found the band refining their sound – and scoring a hit single with the iconic title track. In 2010, drummer Bill Ward looked back on the making of the album that rubber-stamped Sabbath’s greatness.
