We visited unique Beeston café and loved the atmosphere

Among the busy high street in Beeston you can find many cafés, one being the Greenhood Coffee House. As it is one of the highly rated places of 'Quick Bites' in the area on Tripadvisor we visited to see what it was really like.

As a coffee lover, I’ve visited a lot of cafés and feel a lot have a similar vibe and look to them. This café was different and unique. It had a very modern and clean aesthetic. White walls, wooden furniture, and greenery - very chilled and calm.

Following my arrival, I went up to the counter to order and was welcomed by a man and a woman who were lovely. I couldn’t make my mind up on tea or coffee, the staff said both are great after having a cup of each that morning, they said. I chose to have a cuppa. I also added a banoffee bun to my order which looked fantastic.

Whilst I waited for my order I took a seat at the wooden bar in the window looking out onto busy scenes of shoppers in Beeston. The cafe provided almost a tranquil atmosphere. With the addition of relaxing music in the background it was so calm.

Tables were mostly filled, there were people having chats and others working on their laptops. Despite the calm atmosphere created in the cafe, the chatter of other customers in the background created a balance and made the coffee house feel alive.

My tea and cake was then brought over and I was blown away. The smell of my banoffee bun was just incredible, it smelt so sweet but tasted even better.

Greenhood Coffee House, Beeston (Nottingham Post)

The coffee house is filled with character, the cool and vibrant interior along with the relaxing atmosphere and the addition of a warm brew created a great space. As I continued to watch out of the window, I finished my tea and went to buy another.

As someone who is quite tight with money, having a tea that costs £2.50 makes me uneasy. However I did understand that it’s maybe a higher quality tea, and as well they provide good service so I let that slide.

Overall I loved the Greenhood Coffee House, as someone who lives nearby I think I might have found a new go to place for a coffee stop.
