As we come to the end of the 'Month of Love', it's only natural that we share the latest beauty launches that have earned a special place in our hearts. We're lucky to have dozens of new additions to the beauty scene land on our desk every month, so we're doing our due diligence and testing them out for you so that we can share the very best beauty buys this month has to offer. These are the products actually worth splashing out on this payday.
This month's best new beauty buys
From a fruity floral Molton Brown scent that makes a great long-lasting perfume and a smoothing lightweight moisturiser from La Roche-Posay to an exfoliating toner that helps unlock a fresh and youthful complexion, this month we got our hands on an assortment of beauty buys making their debut appearance. But, these are the nine that stood out from the crowd and left us with a positive lasting impression.
Our Beauty Editor says...Butter wouldn't melt
It might still be a cool sub 5°c outside but with the sun finally making an appearance this month, we're all getting in the spring mood with a touch of butter. Whether it's the satiny 'Butter Skin' makeup look distracting from the dewier 'Glass' finish, the stream of new skin and body butters hitting the shelves, or the bright and silky yellow sweeping the colour stakes, everyone's favourite melty condiment is taking over in beauty.

The 'Butter Skin' makeup trend is all about creating a smooth, satin-like finish over a glowing complexion - a radiant but not excessively shiny look that just looks like butter. This talc-free formula has been designed to blur, smooth and control shininess of the complexion for a natural brightened, weightless finish - and that it does. Dust over the skin with a fluffy brush to set makeup in place for a natural soft-focus finish and no flashback in photos.
RRP: £26.99 for 220ml
With a buttery texture that nourishes dry skin without creating a greasy sheen on top, this velvety butter absorbs quickly and leaves a hydrated feel for hours after. An easy self-tan to apply, this gives a subtle touch of colour to the skin that gradually develops without leaving any streaks in its wake.
RRP: £8.99
With 2025 nail trends heading towards a spring refresh, butter yellow nails have been getting increasingly popular this month. And with sheer and jelly nails constantly topping the nail trend stakes, I love this buildable Essie number that can be used a sheer gloss or layered for a more solid jelly look.

RRP: £64 for The Brightening Eye Cream | £86 for The Brightening Serum
It's no secret that I'm a big of Tatcha's stellar selection of skincare buys rooted in Japanese rituals, so you can imagine my excitement when they add two brand new products into the mix. Enter, the Brightening Eye Cream and Brightening Serum. I apply the serum prior to my much-loved Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream, which gives me a moisturised and plumper complexion. As someone who experiences long-lasting post-acne marks, this serum has definitely helped reduce the appearance of any hyperpigmentation faster than normal, while giving my complexion a noticeable soft, healthy glow. As for the eye cream, I thought I was seeing things when I first applied it. This formula works great at hydrating the under-eyes, especially prior to makeup application, while immediately minimising dark circles for a brighter, awakened look.

RRP: £124 for 100ml
Reminiscent of sunnier days sat on a beach with a pina colada in hand, this creamy yet refreshing fragrance is the ultimate solar scent. Zesty lime is balanced out with its light heart note of coconut water, whilst warmth is added through the rich tonka bean. Once dried down on my skin, this perfume interestedly had a slight floral-vanilla twist to it, as the name may suggest. All in all, it’s a gorgeously luxurious scent that makes the perfect candidate for daytime wear as we enter the brighter spring/summer months ahead.

RRP: £38
"When it comes to eye makeup, usually I'm a strictly liner and lashes kind of girl, so I wasn't overly jazzed when this landed on my desk - but oh my goodness did I eat my words once I tried it. A handy palette of really varied but complementary shades, the soft and velvety powders have a strong pigment without being too bold and last all day - even on my oily eyelids. I love to add a light layer of the plum and dark brown shades to my daily look for a touch of chic casual glam."

Most notably known for their ergonomic shower-side razors, Estrid just debuted their new trio of refillable roll-on aluminium-free deodorants which are designed to control sweat and body odour for up to 24 hours. Powered by Noni Fruit to neutralise the underarms' microbiomes, I noticed I smelt fresh for an entire day. They arrive in three differing scents, each corresponding to a refillable colour insert that is popped inside the cloudy outer casing, however I settled on the 'Leaf' - which is described as 'Late summer in the Mediterranean'. Like any roll-on, this deodorant takes a few swipes to get the formula out, but once it does, it dries down impressively fast. I also tested applying the formula after shaving and it didn't cause any irritation or stinging. It's also worth noting that they offer the same scents in antiperspirants, which are equipped with aluminium to keep you sweat and odour-free for up to 48 hours, so if you looking for longevity these might be the best option for you.

RRP: £33
As someone with blemish-prone skin, I was excited when La Roche-Posay's latest launch landed on my desk. This isn't the first I've tried a La Roche-Posay moisturiser, I also loved the brand's Effaclar Duo M Moisturiser for keeping my blemishes at bay, so this buy had big boots to fill. In short, it lived up to every one of my expectations. This moisturiser boasts an incredibly lightweight, fast-absorbing formula which works to hydrate the skin, however don't be fooled as it also arrives equipped with a tri-acid complex to decongest pores, smooth the complexion and reduce the appearance of fine lines and pigmentation. After adopting this gem into my routine, my complexion is noticeably clearer in terms of blemishes, my pigmentation has significantly reduced and my skin hasn't experienced its typical dry spells throughout the bitter winter months. All in all, it's quickly become a new favourite in my skincare arsenal.

"Fire up the Chronos Max and it takes a pretty quick 35 seconds to reach temperature. As is the case for all ghd straighteners, the Chronos Max heats to 185°C, the temperature the brand says is optimum for great styling without utilising extreme heat that could compromise your hair’s health. I did find it took a few slow passes through each section of hair, depending on the size of the section, but it was incredibly smooth – absolutely no feeling of frying my strands whatsoever. It is worth mentioning that if I was planning on straightening my hair after washing, I would usually dry it smoother with this in mind, but I dried it curly purely to test how well it would straighten curlier hair. Either way, my hair retained movement and some elasticity and bounce, rather than feeling fried and rigid from the straightening process. All in all, it’s a very smooth user experience, and the smooth results also last brilliantly."

As someone with unpredictably sensitive skin, I'm always skeptical to try an exfoliating toner, but I'm glad I did with this buy from Fresh. Firstly, I can't ignore its minimalistic navy packaging, that gives this bottle a chic and sophisticated appearance that sets it apart from my other skincare. As for the gem of a formula inside, it works to smooth and improve the texture of the skin, fading the appearance of dark spots and tightening pores, while breaking down the dead skin cells for a brighter and balance appearance. Upon my first application I was hit with an incredibly fruity peach scent, which admittedly might not be for everyone, but it didn't irritate my skin and you do get used to it with time. It has left my complexion notably smoother, brighter and more radiant (without being excessively shiny), while also helping to reduce hyperpigmentation from previous blemishes and give the skin a plumper appearance.

RRP: £140 for 100ml
There's something about Molton Brown perfume bottles that look effortlessly chic on your dressing table (I'm putting it down to the colourful marble sphere lid) and the brand's new Bluebell & Wild Strawberry scent follows suit. With spring in near sight, this fragrance couldn't have launched at a better time. Upon first impressions, this eau de parfum transported me to sunny springtime, stood in a forest meadow of bluebells beneath blue skies - only making me crave the upcoming season further. Its fruity floral notes of juicy wild strawberry, violet leaf, bluebell accord and soft driftwood, make it a delicately light and feminine fragrance that is perfect for daytime wear.

RRP: £94
"I've had super dry skin throughout the winter so have been wary of using anything too clarifying on my skin, instead opting for my best hyaluronic acid serums - depite some uneven texture, a few blemish breakouts and rare patches of redness on my cheeks. But this new Allies of Skin drop has been exactly what I need - working against all my unwanted skin concerns without being too harsh on the skin. The loose texture absorbs into skin really easily but the slight creaminess to it adds a touch of comfort, making sure it doesn't sting or leave my skin too tight.

"Fenty has already ventured into cherry in the past with their Cherry DUB 5% AHA Face Mask (one of my faves for radiance and hydration) and their deliciously-hydrating Barbados Cherry Lip Oil, so it's no surprise that this brand new cleanser was also a slam dunk. Heroing the vitamin C-rich Barbados cherry alongside well-known brightenener niacinamide and refreshing aloe vera, this quenching cleanser works to brighten skin and help decrease shine without leaving skin tight after use."

"When this first landed on my desk, the name was giving me sickly sweet 00s Victoria's Secret body spritz that I just didn't think would be for me, but boy was I wrong. This deliciously-juicy fragrance really does live up to its life-of-the-party name with an elegantly sweet but fresh offering that works for both day and night. Bursting with notes of the dark fruit alongside zingy mandarin and a touch of sweet, fresh pear, the sweet notes here are balanced by a heart of white florals and a base of warm vanilla and sharp benzoin, while green patchouli adds a lasting earthy impression. A new favourite that I will be spritzing at least a couple of times a week for the foreseeable."

"A launch that has taken over beauty industry feeds for the past weeks, Glossier has dropped a brand new Black Cherry collection to give us all the deep, rich burgundy that we want. Consisting of four products - Black Cherry Balm Dotcom, Cloud Paint in Black Cherry, No. 1 Pencil in Black Cherry and Lip Line in Black Cherry - the range is set to become a favourite with fans of the brand. While I've not yet tried it, their OG cherry Balm Dotcom was always one of my favourites for its delicious scent and flattering hint of colour - and I can only imagine how gorgeous the Cloud Paint will be if its predecessors are anything to go by."

There's no denying that I'm a fan of REFY. With a makeup arsenal that makes home to a multitude of their beauty gems, it was only natural that I tested the brand's all new skincare range. Although the debut products, consisting of a cleanser and moisturiser, may not sound particularly revolutionary, a deeper delve reveals quite the innovative launch. The foaming cleanser acts as a 2-in-1 formula, simultaneously removing makeup and cleansing your skin, without completely drying out your skin - a huge plus point in my book, as someone with combination skin. While the lightweight moisturiser arrives with a built-in metal roller applicator that works to sculpt, cool, lift and de-puff the skin. This innovative tube design essentially combines your moisturiser application with your go-to technique of lymphatic drainage - the perfect duo to combat any January puffiness and winter skin blues, if you ask me.

"I'm not normally a rose girl but there's something so moreish about Jo Malone's Taif Rose. Picture a single rose veiled in curls of incense smoke, that is the best way I can think of to describe this scent. It's floral, sure, but there's an edge and depth to it - brought through by its coffee notes - that initially overtake that classical rose aroma. This chic spiciness lingers but after a while, that elegant rose glows through again - which is ideal if you prefer a nuanced signature that develops and evolves throughout the day. Personally, I can't wait to wear it for a date night or evening out."

Hot off the press, Dyson just dropped two new colourways for their assortment of innovative hair tools - meet Jasper Plum and Red Velvet and Gold. Inspired by a rare purple jasper gemstone that symbolises strength and self-discovery, Jasper Plum captures a rich violet hue with complementing accents of soft pink; while Red Velvet boasts a luxurious crimson tone with opulent gold details that makes for a sophisticated appearance. The two hues adorn four of the brand's popular hair tools, including the Airwrap i.d.™ multi-styler for straight and wavy hair, Airwrap i.d.™ multi-styler for curly and coily hair, Supersonic Nural™ hair dryer and the Airstrait™ straightener. While Jasper Plum can be shopped now via Dyson's website, the Red Velvet and Gold colourway will be available to shop from late February.

"The daffodils aren’t out yet and I suspect It’ll be a while until we can put away our ‘big coats’, but here’s a special treat for anyone trying to will Spring into existence: Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2025 makeup collection. Among rosy tinted lip balms and sheer mauve shadow is this nail varnish - and isn’t she just lovely? A soft and sophisticated peach with milky undertones that’d make as pretty a winter mani as it would a sandal-season pedi. It’s limited-edition, as is the other shade in this drop (Artiste, a minty pale aqua) As we know, where Chanel goes other brands follow - so expect to see these colours everywhere by March."

In search of a nourishing haircare gem to replenish and revive my dull, dry winter hair, I tested the highly-anticipated Gisou Honey Gloss Hair Mask for an entire month before its launch to see exactly how it performed - spoiler, it left quite the impression. Although it claims to be gentle enough for every hair wash, I used this formula once a week in replacement of my conditioner and the results were nothing short of impressive. Its thick, rich formula left my strands feeling soft, hydrated and glossy after just one use. I've never tried a hair mask that has noticeably long-lasting results on my hair, but this finish remained intact until my next hair wash. As someone with long, fine hair, it also did a top job at detangling my locks for that salon-worthy swish.

"As someone with constantly dehydrated skin, anything that promises to quench will always be a must-try for me. So when I got hold of this new Tropic drop, as a fan of the brand already I couldn't wait to see what it could do - and I can safely say, it didn't disappoint. Containing multi-weight hyaluronic acid (meaning different-sized molecules that penetrate multiple layers of the skin) alongside soothing aloe vera juice and cooling cucumelon (which smells incredible), this natural cleanser leaves skin quenched and comfortable - and even managed to tackle the visible flakiness I was getting from the cold January days. While I've been loyal to a certain hydrating cleanser for the past six years, I think I might have just found my new go-to..."

"Aquarius season is here, so as a proud Aquariun myself, I was only too happy to celebrate the season with this gorgeous new launch from Sana Jardin. While I expected something warming or even slightly spicy given the time of year, I was gloriously-surprised to be transported to brighter climes with this beautifully fresh and zingy herbal number that's layered with sharp notes of lemon, rosemary and lavender. And the stunning Mediterranean-looking bottle doesn't look too shabby on my perfume shelf either."

"Among my friends and colleagues, I'm a famous wearer of the iconic Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540. But one of my top tips to everyone for getting more out of it? Layer it over a scentless oil or moisturiser and save it for your skin rather than your clothes - opting instead for a mist of the similar-smelling Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa 68 Perfume Mist over your outfit. So I was beyond excited to receive the brand new body oil from the brand in the same Beija Flor scent as the body spray. The luxury silky oil is the perfect consistency and thickness for layering over skin and I was surprised at the efficacy with which it absorbed into the skin - leaving it looking nourished and bright rather slippery and shiny. And I can't get enough of the delicious blend of Brazilian jasmine, pink dragonfruit and vanilla."

When it comes to affordable mascaras, L'Oréal Paris hosts an plethora of stellar lash-enhancing formulas. But now there's a new kid on the block and I got my hands on one to try it out for myself. I'm a firm fan of L'Oréal's iconic Telescopic mascara, so I had high exceptions for the all-new Paradise Big Deal - and thankfully, it lived up to every one of them. This new addition works to build noticeable length and volume, without causing any clumping, all of which I can attest to. It does a stellar job at separating the lashes for a naturally fluttery and fanned-out effect, avoiding the dreaded spider-leg finish and leaving the lashes feeling weightless.
