Some members of Leicester City’s title-winning squad are working on a reunion to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their incredible achievement.
Turn the clocks back a decade, and the Foxes were on their way to completing the Premier League’s most enthralling heist: going from 5000/1 longshots to lifting the top-tier trophy, shrugging off the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
It’s a feat we may never see again, and while Leicester fans will clearly never tire of talking about it, it remains one of the greatest football stories to any football fan.
Danny Simpson on keeping in touch with former Leicester City stars

One of the key components from that season is full-back Danny Simpson, who made 30 league appearances that year, all from the start, combining to immense effect down the right-hand side with Riyad Mahrez.
Looking back on those times is bittersweet for the 39-year-old, given the Foxes’ current struggles.

“It’s sad for us to see how Leicester have been struggling towards the bottom of the Championship this season,” Simpson admits to FourFourTwo. “Ten years ago, we won the league, and it was only a few years ago that the club won the FA Cup and were a point off being in the Champions League again.
“The club has to get its identity back and get the fans back onside, because Leicester have always stuck together.”
Still keeping an eye on the team, that’s something the old guard speak about, in a WhatsApp group they’ve called Reunion 2026, which they hope to use to organise a catch-up a decade on from their famous triumph.
“We’re all still friends and have had chats about what we’re going to do for a reunion,” Simpson reveals.
“Some lads like me are retired, but some are still playing.”

Among those are Jamie Vardy, currently with Serie A side Cremonese, and Mahrez, who currently plies his trade in the Saudi Pro League for Al-Ahli.
“I’ve been chatting with Riyad Mahrez,” Simpson said. “Hopefully we can all find the right time to get together and do something.
“We definitely will, it’s just making sure that everybody can come – everyone wants to. It’s strange that it’s 10 years already, it goes so quickly.”
