Music festivals and overpriced foods go hand-in-hand.
And those who made the trip to Glasgow Green for this year's TRNSMT festival were expect to fork out some cash if they fancied a decent bite to eat.
But we wanted to find out if the items on offer were worth the money and headed along to chicken burger specialist 'Dirty Bird' to fill our stomach.

The choice
There's no denying you're spoilt for choice when it comes to food at TRNSMT.
From hotdogs to churros to pizzas, it's almost overwhelming. With a long day ahead of me, I opted for the vendor 'Dirty Bird', given I fancied a chicken burger and they seemed the obvious choice. After perusing the menu I ordered the butterfly chicken burger with cheese and chipotle mayo.
What I imagine you are all waiting for is the price.
Well it wasn't cheap. After one beep of my phone I was £12.50 lighter.
The Food
A red and yellow box was handed over to me mere seconds after ordering.
And I was not disappointed when it opened. The burger itself was substantial and lay on a bed of waffle fries which were lightly seasoned and wonderfully crunchy.
The chicken was coated in a crispy batter and the meat itself was cooked to perfection. It was stacked with lettuce, tomato, coleslaw and topped off with chipotle sauce.
When it comes to burgers, the key is to ensure that it stays together when eating, there wasn't a morsel left after I had finished up.
The burger was very filling, which is exactly what you want when there is a long day ahead.
Final Thoughts
The price is extortionate - there's no denying that.
But in the bubble that is TRNSMT, £12.50 is middle of the range. I was worried the food would leave me dissatisfied, however, it was a real quality meal.
Would I have a Dirty Bird burger again? Absolutely - but I'd be hoping to spend less than a tenner next time.
